About the role
Eastern Health is offering you the opportunity to undertake a 12 month Mental Health EN Graduate Program or Mental Health EN Transition to Speciality Practice Program. This Program is intended to support both novice Enrolled nurses & experienced general nurses wishing to pursue a career in Mental Health.
This structured program incorporates both theoretical elements in addition to practical experience with allocated study days, learning packages and clinical assessments. During the course, participants will be supported by experts within the clinical facility and the clinical education staff of the Learning and Teaching Directorate.
The program provides a career pathway for those Enrolled Nurses seeking to work in the mental health speciality environment whilst enhancing their critical thinking, theoretical knowledge and clinical skills and is a great stepping stone to ongoing Enrolled Nurse opportunities across the Mental Health Program
Our EN Transition to Practice Programs are progressive, responsive and innovative. We use the latest evidence to develop our program study days together with regular feedback from our participants. About you
To be successful in this role you should possess the following:
- EN Registration with AHPRA
- Proactive, reflective, self-directed learner
- Well-developed communication skills
- Patient centred practice
- Team player
- Recent clinical experience for applicants wishing to apply to EN TSP Program- minimum of 1-year post registration experience preferably having undertaken a Graduate Program. Applicants applying for EN Graduate Program should be able to demonstrate recent completion of EN course within the last 12 months
