About the role
Our Adult Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) service is a short-term, residential treatment service with a recovery focus, located in our local community in Ringwood East.
We provide early intervention for people who are becoming unwell or in the early stages of recovery from an acute psychiatric episode, to strengthen and consolidate gains from the inpatient setting.
Working in partnership with Wellways Australia, we offer a unique setting for people to start their recovery journey and resume their role in the community by providing coordinated, recovery-oriented treatment and support.
Maroondah PARC encourages links to people's natural supports and their participation in community life.
The primary role is to provide high quality assessment and treatment, relapse prevention and management; and clinical support to people experiencing a mental illness utilising a recovery-oriented model of care.
Main responsibilities but not limited to:
- Provide an in reach model working in partnership with consumers, their families and our partners from Wellways.
- Contribute to clinical service delivery, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Act as a role model and mentor to staff in promoting professional values & ethics in clinical practice.

About the role
The Ringwood Community Team works to improve the outcomes for children and adolescents aged 0-25 years, and their families, experiencing significant emotional, behavioural or mental health difficulties alongside a range of vulnerabilities, including trauma and family violence. As the Stream Team Leader, working in close collaboration with the Team Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide day to day operational leadership and clinical support to the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of high quality clinical care, including the provision of a range of evidence based specialist interventions, to assist children, adolescents and their families/carers, to achieve improved health and wellbeing outcomes. The provision of supervision and mentoring of early career clinicians will be an essential component of the role. And also provision of leadership across the stream including some site and working group responsibilities.

To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Current registration with AHPRA; for Social Work, eligibility for membership of AASW
- Demonstrated ability and experience in clinical and operational leadership
- Highly developed clinical expertise in infant and child mental health
- A strong commitment to high quality care

- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Experience in infant work and family therapy is desirable

This role is available as either grade 2 or senior clinician role. In the Specialist Child Team, you will manage a designated caseload providing mental health assessment and intervention for infants and children under 12 years of age, and their families. Additionally, you will work with the team, to develop and maintain a positive team culture, working collaboratively to deliver high quality clinical care and improved health and wellbeing outcomes for referred children and their families. You will also provide discipline specific assessment and interventions, where required.
Following the fixed term you will continue in an ongoing role within ICYMHS service
As the successful applicant, you will join a friendly, enthusiastic and skilled team that values reflective practice, supervision and continuous learning.

About the role
The Community Rehabilitation Program offers short term, goal based service to clients in the Eastern Suburbs. We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and client-centred physiotherapist with a commitment to high quality, evidence based patient care. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to assess and manage a variety of musculoskeletal conditions in the Community Rehabilitation Program in addition to leading non clinical portfolios and responsibilities. The Community Rehabilitation Program has a strong commitment to supervision, professional development, research and quality initiatives. There is opportunity for the successful candidate to be involved with quality improvement projects in a supported manner, supervise physiotherapy students and junior staff, and participate in amputee rehabilitation, telehealth group/s and aquatic physiotherapy with the support of a grade 3 senior clinician. The Community Rehabilitation Program is committed to providing evidence based high quality care, as such, staff are supported to participate in research opportunities and regular ongoing professional development. This position will be supported in a large interdisciplinary team environment with regular supervision by a grd 3 senior clinician.

The NMS actively provides industry specific support to ensure excellent service delivery and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to consider clinical quality and risk, service performance and care standards within the area of expertise.
The NMS Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator participates in service planning and development activities within the clinical specialty area in the general support, debrief and referral to all nurses and midwives, and students as well as support related projects and research.
The NMS Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator is a key role within the Nursing and Midwifery Service team, focusing on stakeholder engagement, marketing and promotion to enhance service growth and the creation of supportive content for nurses and midwives. Content is delivered across a range of platforms and mediums including the NMS website, newsletter, blogs and podcasts.
About you

- Bachelor of Nursing / Midwifery or other recognised equivalent formal qualification leading to condition free registration in Australia
- Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australian (NMBA) via AHPRA

About the role
The Registered Nurse is a valued and collaborative member of the interdisciplinary health care team at Eastern Health and is accountable for coordinating and delivering safe and comprehensive patient centred care while working competently within their scope of practice and in alignment with the Eastern Health and Nursing & Midwifery Board Practice Standards.
HARP services aim to prevent avoidable hospital presentations and admissions by implementing time limited care for clients with complex or chronic conditions who frequently attend hospitals or are at imminent risk of Hospitalisation. Care is patient centred, based on meeting client’s individual needs which can include physical and mental health, psychosocial and environmental needs.

This includes active participation in the interdisciplinary case conferences for optimal care to the right patient at the right time. The Care coordinator manages a clinical case load of clients and assists in intake and clinical prioritisation to facilitate smooth patient flow into the service. The role includes comprehensive clinical assessments, care planning, monitoring and review. Services are goal orientated and time limited with a focus on ensuring adequate processes are in place for a safe transition and discharge according to the clients ongoing needs.
The Care Coordinator will demonstrate a minimum level of competence in clinical decision making, as outlined in the Eastern Health Domains of Practice, and meet the minimum competencies required to work within the Health Independence Programs and will be expected to be a positive role model, mentor and resource within the team. The Care Coordinator will assist the Team Leaders and Manager to ensure clinical standards are met and that continuous service improvement occurs.

North East Pathology Network (NEPN) is one of the three networks with participating pathology services from Austin Health, Eastern Health and Northern Health.
NEPN has established an extensive Reform Program with two main streams of entity formation and the planning, procurement and implementation of a single shared Laboratory Information System (LIS).
NEPN is seeking the expertise and skills a Senior Change, Communications and Engagement specialist to lead the Change, Communications and Engagement aspects of the NEPN Program.
The person in this role will be required to work with our recently engaged consultancy who are establishing a Change Strategy and Change Roadmap, and will be charged to take forward the recommendation and manage the Change Impacts to our partner pathology services with the objective of fostering positive and effective relationships with all partner pathology representatives, wider partner health services teams and consumers of pathology testing.
This is an exciting role that shapes the success of the NEPN Program with meaningful, relevant and timely change, communications and engagement strategies within a large and multi-agency program. About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:

- Proven and senior level experience in internal and external stakeholder management and communication in a large and multi-agency program.
- Proven ability to think strategically and provide appropriate and timely communications operationally across a large group of stakeholders
- Exceptional oral, written and presentation skills with attention to detail.
- Proven ability to tailor communications to suit a variety of stakeholders.
- Proven ability to foster positive and effective relationships with a wide group of stakeholders.
- Experience in identification and use of different communications channels, with an aim to streamline communications
- Proven ability and expertise to define and implement messaging across different phases of a complex and multi-year program.
- Proven experience in program level Change Management including setting up of change teams and management of change impacts across a board range of stakeholders and departments

- Experience in delivering or leading a team who can make ready new workflows, process and procedures from day one.
- Proven experience in managing change transition over a geographically dispersed operational service and through a stabilisation period for multiple sites ensuring to ensure teams and champions embedded in the operational teams are ready and confident to perform well.

- Previous experience in healthcare setting, ideally within the pathology sector.
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field

About the role
The Manager of Strategic Asset Planning is the focal point for asset management systems and the asset information systems. The incumbent would lead a team of Asset Officers, secondments and contractors in advising, development and implementing Eastern Health’s the asset management and asset information systems knowledge at Eastern Health ensuring asset information’s currency and accuracy.
The incumbent is to oversee the performance of the asset management processes, information systems and systems to optimise asset lifecycle outcomes. The role aims to strengthen clinical governance and enable early identification and visibility of organisational/systemic issues using asset management principles.

MAJOR DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of 2 asset officers, secondments and contractors
- Manage Eastern Health's asset management and information systems performance, ensuring the day-to-day reliability, availability and serviceability
- Support internal customers and stakeholders to ensure optimal integration and engagement with asset management systems and related activities
- Manage and implementation initiatives from the Eastern Health’s Strategic Asset Management Plan (SAMP) to proactively meets the business needs and adapt to future challenges, both in terms of the software capability and asset management outcomes
- Manage the development and implementation of strategy framework for:
- Asset Management

- Act as a key representative on Patient Equipment committee (to be established by Director of OHS) and related Clinical Risk Governance committees
- Engage and support clinical leaders and frontline nurse unit managers, product advisors and supply to manage patient safety equipment issues – including reactive and preventative maintenance
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Essential
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Engineering, or equivalent business-related
• 3 -5 year experience in asset management, information and knowledge management • Current driver’s licence • Demonstrative experiences in:
o Development and implementation of policy, standard, guideline and procedures o Knowledge of Department of Treasury and Finance - Asset Management Accountability Framework o Supporting directional work programs covering multiple projects o Knowledge of ISO55000 and ISO9001 o Excellent Interpersonal Communication skills o Managing internal and external teams, stakeholders and contractors

About the role
We are seeking a mental health clinician to join the Yarra Ranges Local in a new position as Grade One Social Worker. You will play a vital role in ensuring that consumers, carers and their families receive valuable and supportive mental health care. This role will ensure decisions are always either directly or indirectly aimed at ensuring the person with lived experience is at the centre of all we do and that the ethos and values of clinical professionalism are imbued within the culture of the organisation and play an integral role in changing and shaping the way mental health and wellbeing services and supports are delivered to the Yarra Ranges community.
The Grade One Social Worker will provide services to people experiencing a range of mental health and wellbeing challenges. Services will be provided within a strength based, person centred, trauma informed, goal and recovery-oriented framework. The Social Worker will work alongside the individual consumers and their carers with an individual plan designed to promote, foster and sustain personal recovery. The position works within a multidisciplinary team of varying experience, fostering a collaborative environment that prioritises participants needs and enhances service delivery.
There will be a strong learning and development culture within the team with a focus on growth learning, reflective practice, supervision and self-care. This role will also be supported by an Eastern Health Social Work educator.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- A degree qualification in Social Work that has been approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for membership as a social worker
- A strong commitment to high quality, person centred care, that respects and upholds the human rights of individuals
- Relevant theoretical knowledge, skills and/or experience in the provision of evidence based social work assessment and interventions in a recovery oriented mental health setting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with participants, families, carers and supporters in co creating individualised recovery plans designed to promote, foster and sustain personal recovery.
- Understanding of and/or demonstrated experience or integrating lived/living experience expertise throughout various models of care
- Skills and experience in Single Session Family Consultations (SSFC) or willingness to undertake training provided by Eastern Health

The Mental Health Service works in partnership with consumers carers, families and other service providers, to provide high quality mental health assessments, clinical and therapeutic interventions, within a recovery oriented model of care, alongside the provision of discipline specific clinical work. The model of care includes working in close collaboration with family and carers as well as in partnership with a range of community services to support the consumer’s recovery journey.
The Mental Health & Wellbeing Program is passionate about developing and implementing key strategies to support and enhance the clinical capability of the allied health workforce in the Program and is supported by the Associate Director Allied Health Mental Health, Learning & Teaching.
About the role
The Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health system has recommended that the Victorian Government prepare for workforce reform and begin addressing workforce shortages by developing educational, training pathways and recruitment strategies, together with creating discipline specific roles to ensure people with mental ill health are receiving timely, evidence based care. These initiatives included targeted programs to emerging allied health disciplines in mental health including dietetics, physiotherapy, clinical pharmacy and speech pathology. Eastern Health has an exciting opportunity for a senior Physiotherapist to work in an educator role to develop and implement a learner program for early career Physiotherapists entering the mental health and wellbeing workforce.
The Physiotherapy educator will be expected to support and supervise allied health clinicians and students which includes ensuring the governance and clinical requirements of the Victoria Allied Health Mental Health Early Career Expanding Disciplines learner program are met. The incumbent will work closely with the other allied health senior educators and educators and clinical teams where learners are based to support allied health mental health workforce initiatives.
About you
- Current Physiotherapy registration with AHPRA
- Working understanding of the recommendations of the Royal Commission into Victoria’s Mental Health System.
- Experience working in public health settings providing treatment and care to people experiencing mental ill health
- Extensive clinical experience, working with novice learners
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with excellent organisational, critical thinking, problem solving, time management and prioritisation skills
- Demonstrated competence in a leadership role, with the ability to unite teams to achieve common objectives
- Strong ability to build partnerships across varied stakeholder groups to understand requirements, identify appropriate solutions and achieve outcomes
- Excellent attention to detail and advanced Microsoft Suite skills (Word, Excel)
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

It is located within Turning Point’s Specialist Clinical Services (SCS) which is based at our Richmond site. At Turning Point there is a focus on providing distance based, accessible, outward bound therapeutic interventions focused on gambling, alcohol and other drugs. The Structured Intervention Team delivers two programs: The Ready 2 Change program and Diversion Counselling program.
The programs focus on providing evidence based treatment to assist individuals to address their addiction concerns. These draw on the principles of harm reduction, Cognitive Behavioural therapies, Motivational Interviewing and trauma informed care. Service delivery functions include conducting assessments, holding a clinical caseload and the provision of specialised interventions delivered via telehealth mediums as directed. The role may also involve participation in research activities as well as contributing to project work as required and provision of support to students on placement within our programs.
This role offers early career psychologists the opportunity to complete the registrar program if required (clinical psychology) as well as access to regular individual supervision, monthly discipline specific psychology meetings as well as all the learning opportunities that being a member of a multidisciplinary team of addiction psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, neuropsychologists, nurses and social workers offers. In addition, the Organisation provides a range of training programs which staff can access as part of their professional development plans including specialist training in alcohol and other drug treatment. Development opportunities also exist, as Turning Point operates both a workforce and development team and a nationally recognised research program.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Evidence that complies with the noted discipline qualifications and registration requirements as noted in the respective Position Descriptions
- Post-Graduate qualifications in addiction, mental health or related field is desirable or willingness to undertake further training as required
- Sound theoretical knowledge of biopsychosocial assessments and interventions in addiction and mental health.
- Experience and knowledge in a range of therapeutic models and interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
- Ability to contribute to improving systems and protocols that ensure continuity of care across the service system.

About the role
Box Hill Community Team is part of the Infant, Child, and Youth Mental Health Service (ICYMHS). The Senior Mental Health Clinician will provide a key leadership role within the multidisciplinary Box Hill Community Team for 12 months, then an ongoing role within ICYMHS.
The Senior Mental Health Clinician will provide high quality mental health assessments, case management, and clinical interventions for children and young people, who present with mental health difficulties, and their families.
The Senior Clinician will work in partnership with the Team Leader to provide consistent and effective clinical and operational leadership. We are looking for a clinician who enjoys supervising, teaching, and mentoring early career mental health clinicians.
The Senior Clinician will support the team to ensuring practice is in line with contemporary, evidenced based mental health models of care and current Victorian State Government initiatives, including the Recovery Framework.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess
- Current professional registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body.
- A demonstrated professional interest in working with children and young people, within the context of their families, who are experiencing significant mental health difficulties.
- Highly developed skills in interpersonal communication and multi-disciplinary team work.
- A strong commitment to high quality, evidenced based mental health care for infants, children, young people, and their families.
- The ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Proven ability and experience to provide clinical supervision.
- Excellent communication, organisational skills, and enjoyment of continuous learning.

The Maroondah Community Care Unit in Ringwood East is part of Eastern Health’s Adult & Older Adult Mental Health & Wellbeing Program. It is a 20 bed community based residential facility and features a highly structured and supportive physical environment. The clinicians within the multi-disciplinary team have high levels of contact and interaction with consumers who are recovering from a mental illness and their carers to promote self-determination and aims to empower individuals.
The unit operates under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the framework for recovery-oriented practice in a collaborative, team based environment. The unit’s recovery program offers a consumer-centred treatment approach to assist consumers in achieving their personal recovery goals and maintain wellness.
About the role
The Social Work Grade 1 role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of social work assessment & interventions to assist individual consumers to achieve the highest level of independent function, leading to successful community integration and improved quality of life outcomes for consumers.
Through the promotion of recovery and the principles and practice of service coordination the Grade 1 Social Worker will ensure that consumers are at the centre of service delivery and receive a timely, coordinated response to their health and social needs. The incumbent is required to the work within a multi-disciplinary team taking a lead in the provision of structured module based training programs that are recovery focused and evidenced based.

Hold a degree qualification in social work that has been approved by the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) for practising membership as a social worker.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cadetships
Eastern Health is offering positions within our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cadetship Program in 2024, supported by the Department of Health.
The cadetship program is open to Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander's and who are enrolled in a course of study that will lead to a certified qualification.
About the role
