Graduate Nurse Program 2020 - Eastern Health
Eastern Health is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. We provide a comprehensive range of high quality acute, sub-acute, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care and community health services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.
Part Time: 0.8 EFT (64 hours per fortnight)
Sites available: Angliss Hospital, Box Hill Hospital, Healesville Hospital, Maroondah Hospital, Peter James Centre, Wantirna Health, Yarra Valley Health, Community areas.
Our Graduate Nurse Program is progressive, responsive and innovative. We use the latest evidence to develop our program study days together with regular feedback from our graduates. We support and facilitate the development of a well prepared, high quality, safe nursing workforce committed to improving health outcomes.
We have three pathways for nursing graduates in 2020 including:
- General Nursing (6 months in two areas) - see EH website for more details.
- Pure Mental Health (12 months with 3 rotations )
- Blended Mental Health (6 months) and General Nursing (6 months)
Our Learning and Teaching team and clinical staff provide a supportive environment that encourages the development of clinical skills, reflective practice and a sense of professional identity and accountability. - Academic transcript (certified- by a person authorised to certify documents in Victoria eg. Pharmacist, Police Officer etc). If you have a digital academic record we also accept this without certification
- Two clinical appraisals- most recent and specific for the pathway you are applying (does not need to be certified)
- 1 Professonal/ workplace referee (or volunteer work)
- 1 Clinical Placement referee (please upload two clinical placement referees if you do not have a professional referee)
