Are you a passionate and motivated registered nurse with recent experience working in a Palliative Care environment?  The Palliative Care Unit, Wantirna Health, is seeking applications from experienced Palliative Care registered nurses who are interested in joining their multi-disciplinary team in providing exceptional patient and family care.  Permanent part-time roles available.

 

The Supportive and Palliative Care Unit, located at Wantirna Health, comprises 32 specialist palliative care beds offering symptom assessment and management, palliative respite and end of life care.  It is a purpose designed facility to maximise patient comfort and care, with a committed multidisciplinary team.  The patient cohort includes those with malignant and non-malignant illness with a strong focus on patient and family centred care, from a holistic perspective.

 

To be successful in this role you should possess:

  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Knowledge of best practice in palliative care nursing
  • Strong commitment to high quality patient care
  • A strong commitment to high quality care
  • A desire to work within a team model of care
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
