Bariatric Surgeon

Eastern Health are seeking a qualified bariatric Surgeon to join our Upper Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, Bariatric and Thoracic team on both a sessional and locum basis. This position includes both operating sessions, as well as outpatient sessions, ward duty and on call for general surgery.

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• Must be a registered medical practitioner in the State of Victoria.
• Must have significant clinical experience, with experience and training in Bariatric Surgery.
• Must hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS), or hold equivalent qualifications to enable recognition as a specialist Bariatric Surgeon.
• Must be recognised by Medicare as a specialist in Bariatric Surgery.
• Must participate in relevant college continuing education programs particularly related to General and bariatric surgery.
• Member of Obesity Surgical Society Australia and new Zealand (OSSANZ)
