About the role

About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Essential
• Tertiary Qualification in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• 3+ years' experience as a Database Administrator for MS SQL Server in a Hybrid Infrastructure environment.
• Industry certifications in Microsoft technologies, including the Database Administrator and Azure.
• Data architecture and modelling experience in application integration environments.
• Demonstrated experience in database and application management, including providing High availability and scalable environments.
• Strong experience developing automation scripts and expertise in using SQL language and CLI for managing and monitoring databases.
• Knowledge of automation tools like Azure Automation, PowerShell, and ARM templates to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Experience working with Business Intelligence platforms.
• Excellent communication skills in engaging with business users and project stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including proficiency in technical writing and documentation.
• Good administrative and time management skills while keeping composure under high-pressure scenarios.
• The ability to work in a team while being self-reliant and showing initiative.

About the role
This roles entails being part of a team that delivers high quality telehealth brief intervention addiction treatment. It is located within Turning Point’s Specialist Clinical Services (SCS) which is based at our Richmond site. At Turning Point there is a focus on providing distance based, accessible, outward bound therapeutic interventions focused on gambling, alcohol and other drugs. The Structured Intervention Team delivers two programs: The Ready 2 Change program and Diversion Counselling program.
The programs focus on providing evidence based treatment to assist individuals to address their addiction concerns. These draw on the principles of harm reduction, Cognitive Behavioural therapies, Motivational Interviewing and trauma informed care. Service delivery functions include conducting assessments, holding a clinical caseload and the provision of specialised interventions delivered via telehealth mediums as directed. The role may also involve participation in research activities as well as contributing to project work as required and provision of support to students on placement within our programs.
This role offers early career psychologists the opportunity to complete the registrar program if required (clinical psychology) as well as access to regular individual supervision, monthly discipline specific psychology meetings as well as all the learning opportunities that being a member of a multidisciplinary team of addiction psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, neuropsychologists, nurses and social workers offers. In addition, the Organisation provides a range of training programs which staff can access as part of their professional development plans including specialist training in alcohol and other drug treatment. Development opportunities also exist, as Turning Point operates both a workforce and development team and a nationally recognised research program.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Evidence that complies with the noted discipline qualifications and registration requirements as noted in the respective Position Descriptions
- Post-Graduate qualifications in addiction, mental health or related field is desirable or willingness to undertake further training as required
- Sound theoretical knowledge of biopsychosocial assessments and interventions in addiction and mental health.
- Experience and knowledge in a range of therapeutic models and interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
- Ability to contribute to improving systems and protocols that ensure continuity of care across the service system.

The mental health program at Eastern Health and the learning and teaching directorate work in partnership to deliver an extensive range of highly regarded transition to practice programs.
The learning and teaching directorate and the mental health program will work in partnership to deliver this program based on the best available evidence and sector wide consultation for allied health mental health learning programs.

About you
To be successful in this role you should possess the following:
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
- Eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia including demonstrated evidence of professional development activities equivalent to Certified Practising Speech Pathologist requirements
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Current driver’s license
And
- Relevant knowledge, skills and/or experience in the provision of evidence based speech pathology assessment and interventions

About the role
Eastern Health is offering you the opportunity to undertake a twelve month allied health transition to mental health practice learning program. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to enhanced mental health services for Adults & Older Adults with serious mental health issues and their families. On a day-to-day basis, this role will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team to deliver both individualised and group interventions to support recovery, which may include such interventions as promotion of physical exercise and activity, falls assessment and prevention and pain management.
In combination with the twelve month program, this opportunity will be well-supported clinically and professionally through clinical supervision with a Grade 4 Physiotherapy Mental Health Clinical Educator, and will be connected to the physiotherapy Aged & Complex Care clinical stream, offering opportunity for involvement in professional development, service development and research.
The learning and teaching directorate and the mental health program will work in partnership to deliver this highly-regarded transition to practice program based on the best available evidence and sector wide consultation for allied health mental health learning programs.

About you
To be successful in this role you should possess the following:
Essential
- Recognised tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy
- Current registration with AHPRA
- Eligibility for practicing membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association
Experience, knowledge & skills
- Relevant theoretical knowledge, experience and skills in the provision of evidence based physiotherapy assessment, intervention and treatment.
- Demonstrated experience in managing a complex caseload and comprehensive discharge planning using a client-centred approach.
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation, policies, plans and strategic directions of public mental health services.
- Demonstrated experience promoting self-management of consumers’ physical health.
- A commitment to working with consumers from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds and to providing services that are family and gender sensitive.
- Proven ability and commitment to work collaboratively with consumers, carers, the multidisciplinary team and external agencies.
- Commitment to supervised and reflective practice, lifelong learning and further development.
- Computer literacy and embracing of health technologies and informatics.
- High level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence.
- Demonstrated high level inter personal skills with consumers, their families and all health care professionals including effective conflict resolution and negotiation.
Desirable
- Broad clinical experience across the continuum of care in a large health service.
- Hold a current Victorian driver’s licence.
- Knowledge of the mental health sector, including roles and workings of mental health teams and relevant community resources and services to support people with mental illness.
- Understanding of, and/or experience in delivering, recovery oriented mental health practice.
- Demonstrated ability to skillfully engage consumers in the development and implementation of individualised plans designed to promote, foster and sustain personal recovery.
- Understanding of, and/or experience in delivering trauma informed care.

About the Role
We are seeking experienced health social workers to be available as part of our casual social work bank, to fill ad hoc and casual vacancies across all Eastern Health bed-based sites. This is an exciting opportunity, offering diversity and challenging clinical work. You should be skilled in risk assessments and complex discharge planning, have an ability to flex across clinical areas and aim to make a difference to patients, families and teams. About You
We are looking for experienced Grade 2 social workers who are keen to work with dynamic teams that promote best practice and great patient outcomes in all clinical areas.
You will be working as part of multidisciplinary teams in acute and sub-acute programs. You will experience a supportive environment that ensures structured supervision, professional development opportunities and engagement in research and quality activities.
As the successful applicant you will have experience and competency in psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, grief and bereavement support, care planning, decision-making and discharge planning as well as liaison with internal and external key stakeholders. You will also assist in the development of services within the clinical stream by applying evidence based, and client centred care within a multi-disciplinary setting.

About the role
The Echocardiography Clinical Educator is responsible for the facilitation and development of education initiatives that foster a culture of clinical learning for cardiac physiologists in the areas of transthoracic echocardiography (echo), stress echo and transoesophageal echo at Eastern Health. About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent
Awarded Graduate Diploma In Cardiac Ultrasound (DMU, QUT, UniSA)
At least 7 years post graduate experience in the profession of Cardiac Physiology
Extensive experience in all modalities of echocardiography
Experience in evaluation of clinical education and professional development of staff and students.
Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership and conflict management, in order to facilitate effective team functioning
Ongoing commitment to the professional development of Cardiac Physiology
Current accreditation with appropriate professional body (eg, ASAR)
Experience in leadership of staff with extensive knowledge and experience in providing supervision, mentoring and support to staff and students
Experience of quality improvement, research processes and commitment to achieving best practice professional clinical standards

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cadetships
Eastern Health is offering positions within our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cadetship Program in 2024, supported by the Department of Health.
The cadetship program is open to Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander's and who are enrolled in a course of study that will lead to a certified qualification.
About the role
- Work under the supervision of a health practitioner relevant to your discipline
- 40 shifts across the year
- Hospital setting
- Assist patients with daily living activities, provide wellbeing support, help maintain a safe and clean environment, support clinical procedures
Days of cultural significance would also be recognised - you will be paid and given the time to attend if these events fall during your rostered work time. In addition, you will be supported to attend the CATSINaM Conference (Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives). CATSINaM is the sole representative body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nurses and midwives in Australia, and its primary function is to implement strategies to increase the recruitment and retention of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
An Aboriginal Employment Coordinator is available to ensure each person has culturally safe and positive employee experiences, which foster belonging and access to diverse experiences and career pathways.

About you
To be successful in this role you should:
- Identify as being of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background
- Studying one of the following- Diploma of Nursing, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery (including double degree) or Bachelor or Master of an Allied Health Profession
- Have completed the first year of your training
- A strong commitment to high quality care
- The ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Developing communication and organisational skills
