An opportunitiy exists for a full-time Cardiac Technologist (Grade 2) with experience in echocardiography to join the Cardiology Department at Eastern Health. The title of this role may also be referred to as Cardiac Technician or Cardiac Physiologist in other states.

Box Hill Hospital is the largest of Eastern Health’s acute hospitals and Box Hill Hospital has recently been redeveloped as a state-of -the-art healthcare facility. The Cardiology Department provides invasive Cardiology services at Box Hill Hospital, and non-invasive Cardiology services at Box Hill, Angliss and Maroondah Hospitals. Across all three sites, the Cardiology Department performs over 17,000 procedures each year, including echocardiography, percutaneous coronary intervention, cardiac CT, cardiac rhythm management and cardiac electrophysiology.
Essential selection criteria: · Awarded Diploma of Medical Ultrasonography (DMU) (Cardiac) Part 1, and undergoing preparation for Part 2, or successful completion of Year 1 of the Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound (QUT), or equivalent · Experience in echocardiography · Bachelor of Science degree, or equivalent · Teamwork driven · Have a strong patient focus
