About the role 

An exciting opportunity exists to be part of the Mental Health Program leadership team at Eastern Health. The Nurse Unit Manager role in the adult acute inpatient unit (Upton House) is a great opportunity for an experienced mental health registered nurse, with recent leadership experience and a passion for recovery focused care, to take the next step in their nursing and leadership career. This 25 bed inpatient unit is renowned for being Eastern Health's winner of teamwork and has a strong clinical team providing recovery oriented acute care to adults from within the local community.  This is a permanent full-time role with a salary of approximately $115K plus superannuation and generous salary packaging options.

About you

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• Strong leadership experience within acute mental health
• Passion for mentoring junior mental health nurses
• Current nursing registration with AHPRA 
• Post Graduate qualifications in mental health care
• Highly developed interpersonal and leadership experience
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
