Eastern Health is pleased to offer full or part time opportunities at Box Hill Hospital to join our team of Health Assistants in Nursing.

Rostered shifts are mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights and weekends and vary in hours, and will be worked on the acute wards. The role is supported by our education team, and Nurse Unit Managers.

You must hold the Certificate III Health Services Assistance, and upload your transcript for this qualification as part of your online application.

The Certificate III in Health Services Assistance is made up of 15 units – the following units are essential for this role:

• CHCCOM005   Communicate and work in health or community services
• BSBMED301    Interpret and apply medical terminology appropriately
• HLTAAP001     Recognise healthy body systems
• CHCDIV001     Work with diverse people
• HLTINF001       Comply with infection control policies and procedures
• HLTWHS001    Participate in work health and  safety
• BSBWOR301   Organise personal work priorities and development
• CHCCCS002     Assist with movement
• CHCCCS020     Respond effectively to behaviours of concern
• CHCCCS026     Transport individuals
• HLTAIN001      Assist with  nursing  care in an acute care environment
• HLTAIN002      Provide non-client contact support in an acute care environment
• CHCCCS010     Maintain high standard of service
• CHCCCS012     Prepare and maintain beds
• HLTAID003      Provide first aid
