Medical Administration Registrar - 12 month appointment commencing August 2018
Working 0.4EFT in the Medical Workforce Unit and 0.6EFT in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) team
The successful applicant will participate in the work of the Medical Workforce Unit in regards to recruitment, contracting and rostering of junior and senior medical staff.
They will participate in the credentialing and the determination of the scope of practice of senior medical staff. They will provide a voice for their junior medical colleagues and in this capacity they will provide administrative support to the Doctors in Training Advisory Committee.
The role out of the existing EMR to new sites will involve the successful candidate in change management projects. Once the EMR is in place the candidate will be involved in optimisation projects to ensure that the EMR is functional and fit for purpose. The candidate will participate in training new medical staff about the EMR and will provide staff, who are struggling, with remedial help and support.
This position would be suitable for RACMA trainees looking to expand their experience in a busy metropolitan health service. This position is currently under application for accreditation with the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.
