Eastern Health is offering Registered Midwives with current registration (condition free) with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia an opportunity to re-enter the hospital and domiciliary midwifery workforce.
Places are available on the Eastern Health RM Refresher Program for 2018, which will provide you with a supported program of education, clinical teaching, hospital-based learning and additional support whilst regaining confidence, experience and skills in the clinical setting.
The refresher program is free for participants, and can be undertaken over six weeks (full time five days per week) or eight weeks part time (three or four days per week) and includes access to clinical educator support, professional development study days, skill acquisition via simulation based learning and clinical placement in the acute ward setting. There is no requirement to work weekends, public holidays or night duty. The PROMPT and FSEP study days are included in this program.
On successful completion of the program you will have the opportunity to apply for suitable positions within Eastern Health.
Current registration (without conditions) is essential. Previous acute experience will be considered favourably. Perhaps you work in community? Maternal Child Health Nursing? Private Maternity Unit? This is a unique opportunity to return to acute care - Delivery/Birth Suite and pre and post-natal units as part of our maternity services located at Box Hill and Angliss Hospitals.
