Dual Diagnosis and Service Development is looking for the right person to join the service as a Carer Consultant. In this role, based in Box Hill, you will work closely with the Eastern Dual Diagnosis Service and the Adult Mental Health Program Carer Consultant to provide co-ordination and administration for the Dual Diagnosis Consumer and Carer Advisory Council activities and administration for the Carer Support Fund. You will also work closely with key stakeholder services and Consumers and Carers from across the mental health and alcohol and drug sectors in the eastern metropolitan region on activities relating to co-occurring mental health and alcohol and drug problems.

The successful applicant will have lived experience as a family carer of a person who has used public mental health services and alcohol and drug services and understanding of peer support principles and the ability to use peer support to provide hope and a belief in recovery.
