Child, Youth & Family Advisor Coordinator, Child and Youth Mental Health Service

Employment type: Permanent Part time, O.4 EFT (15.2 hours per week)

An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated and suitably qualified person with clinical experience as a social worker, occupational therapist, clinical psychologist or mental health nurse to take up the role of Child, Youth and Family Advisor Coordinator within the Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS) at Eastern Health.  It is also desirable that the incumbent have personal lived experience as a child or young person of mental health issues and/or as a family/carer of someone who has been involved with child and youth mental health services.

The Child, Youth and Family Advisor Coordinator, working closely with Child and Youth Mental Health Service leadership, will be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic development of child, youth consumer and family carer participation within CYMHS.   This will include the management and supervision of Youth Peer Advisors, Family/Carer Consultnant and the MI Recovery Coordinator position employed within CYMHS. 

This position will support the strengthening of current carer and consumer participation strategies across the Eastern Health Mental Health Program.
