About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join the Antimicrobial Stewardship team at Eastern Health. This is a permanent part time position based at Box Hill Hospital and may include work at Maroondah Hospital (Ringwood East), Angliss Hospital (Upper Ferntree Gully), Wantirna Health (Wantirna South) and Peter James Centre (Burwood East) when appropriately trained. 

  • 26 Hours per week
  • Training & Orientation provided by Lead Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist

About you 

To be successful in this role you should possess:

  • Certificate III in Hospital/Health Services Pharmacy Support awarded by a registered training organisation or equivalent qualification (as approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia or equivalent body) or suitably qualified graduate in a science discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to hospital policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Able to work within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and prioritise workload.
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills
  • Continued demonstrated awareness in changes and trends to practice.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to reports
  • Skills of timely and effective communication within healthcare personnel and colleagues to guide and achieve best practice.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Word. Excel, and inventory control or dispensing programs)
