About the role

We are looking for a motivated person who has knowledge and previous experience in Specimen Reception responsibilities in a diagnostic Pathology laboratory.

This position is suited to a person who has an understanding of Pathology, will be flexible to work a variety of shifts, and can work within a multi-discipline team.

This position is based at Box Hill Hospital. You may also be required to work at Angliss or Maroondah hospital laboratories.

The Core Laboratory operates 24/7. Specimen Reception operates 7 days per week 0700-2400 hours. If the roster extends to 24/7, there will also be the requirement to work all shifts.

About you

To be successful in this role you should possess:

• VCE or qualification in Pathology
• Experience in Specimen Reception duties in a diagnostic Pathology Laboratory
• A strong commitment to high quality care
• The ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Excellent oral and written communication and organisational skills
• Particular attention to detail
