Work Experience Program 2017 - Year 10 students only
The work experience program provides students with an opportunity to gain insight into the health care industry.
The program is offered to students undertaking year 10. Students participating in the program are given an opportunity to spend one week only (5 consecutive days) working within available departments to observe and participate in the daily activities of those departments.
Areas of Eastern Health offering Work Experience may include:-
• Nursing/Midwifery
• Medicine
• Allied Health - Physiotherapy , Occupational Therapy, Dietetics
• Pathology
• Biomedical Engineering
• Medical Imaging/Radiology
• Administration/Clerical - Human Resources, Finance
We are able to offer placements at the following major sites;
• Maroondah Hospital
• Angliss Hospital
• Box Hill Hospital
• Wantirna Health
• Peter James Centre
• Yarra Ranges
Please note we are unable to take placement students in some restricted areas, these include but are not limited to: Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Operating Suites and Theatres.

Applications for 2017 work experience placements will open on 3 January 2017 and close on 24 Febraury 2017.
